Lessons From Congo; Getting the most out of Uganda's Gold.pdf

Ninety percent of the gold produced in Uganda is mined by Artisanal and Small Scale Miners (ASMs). However, recent reports from Uganda’s Central Bank, Uganda Revenue Authority and the Department of Geological Survey and Mines at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development reveal contradicting volumes of exports.

These contradicting figures question the origin of this gold. This policy draws lessons from the Just Gold project in Congo to enable Uganda get the most out of her gold.
